Cydia + WinSCP problems

I've just jailbroken my iPhone 4 using limerain. It isn't letting me download anything from cydia because it "times out".

Also, WinSCP always freezes whenever I actually get in, which it's rare for me to actually get in before it freezes. Any suggestions?
