Me and my friends decided to re-create d-day for this video. I know some parts are noobish but tell me what you think, including advice.

Good first draft. If possible, edit or reshoot so that cameraman's shadow is not visible when soldier is running up stairs

Did you put them in with iMovie/Final Cut? My guess would be to use a transparent png image.

You should be able to open the image in preview and use instant alpha to remove the background.

Oh your running Tiger then. The feature, I believe, was added in Preview 4.0 included with Leopard. You might just try opening it in GIMP, Photoshop, Seashore, etc and try to remove the background there.
