can videos that have been downloaded through the internet or p2p programs be played in itunes and put into a video ipod?

This is my first mac (macbook) and everything else has been relatively "intuitive" for me except this. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
 
the link takes me to isquint and there is an advertisement for visual hub and it seems to do what isquint does and more. Anyone have any experience with visual hub?
