Possibly. It depends upon the hardware revision (IIRC, a C1 won't work and B1 will, or something like that).
Though, it's not that great. If it's at all possible, I'd recommend shelling out the extra $40ish for an Airport Card, if you're dealing with an iBook. The dongle, given the form factor, will drive you nuts.
