Since iOS 17.6 was released few days ago, each day, I’m getting a settings notification in the Lock Screen pushing me to update. I’m on 17.5.1, automatic updates disabled, automatic update downloads disabled, and still, every night/morning the ducking notification appears.

When you tap on this notification it brings you to the settings update screen and it prompts you to either update now, or during the night. it’s like, leave me alone, if I have disabled the updates, probably it’s because I only want to update manually.

This hasn’t happened on my iPhone, maybe because it’s still on iOS 16?

I'd love to turn that off on my iPad-8 since it doesn't have enough storage space to allow the update to proceed. For the previous update, I offloaded many apps to free up space. It's telling me that I need over 6GB more than I have. I've deleted apps that I never used, and don't have photos or videos stored on the iPad. I think I'm done with updates on this one, so turning off that notification would be nice.

If you connect to a computer and update it that way generally requires less space. Might be an option if you haven't tried it.

Thanks. I tried connecting the iPad to my Mac. The Mac did not recognize this fact. The article from Apple I read did not say, "If the iPad does not show up…" Dead end.

To be fair: I haven’t had more annoying notifications pushing me to update since I started this thread.
