Is this possible? Or do I have to use one of a (yet to buy) Mac mini M4 Pro? Eizo can use USB-C.

Thank you!

You cannot daisy chain displays off the Studio Display. The USB-C ports on the back of the Studio Display are lower bandwidth data ports. They don't carry video.

Ok. Thank you. Too bad though...I think I need all the ports I can get..using 2 printers (for those I need a solution for the USB-B , USB 2/3 ports/external HD for backup/2nd screen (Eizo) / card reader (USB-C). Ideas?

Printers and card readers will work just fine hanging off the back of a Studio Display. I'm using a 2.5Gbit USB-C ethernet adapter off the back of one of my Studio Displays and it's getting full speed. The ports on the Studio Display won't do Thunderbolt, but they'll do USB3 without issue (just not DP Alt Mode).

You could also consider a Thunderbolt 4 dock. Caldigit, OWC and others have TB4 ports that will run up to two 5K displays off them, so that's two displays off of one of your Mac's TB4 ports, though the TB4 docks do run around $200. They do provide a bunch of other ports, too, for the price, including USB-A, USB-C, audio, sometimes card readers, ethernet, etc., depending on model.

Thank you xraydoc! Very useful information.
First I'll investigate the first option you mention (and finding out if I then have enough ports at all); just an adapter. I presume that such adapters come in different qualities?
That Thunderbolt 4 dock is also a serious option. No Thunderbolt 5 yet (?)...maybe from OWC recently..I' ll find out. The Mac Studio Display is 5k..and my Eizo is 2560 x 1440p. So that should work. And then maybe also suitable for my 2 printers ("regular " USB). If that's the case, I'll probably buy an OWC dock.
Does such a dock always work?
As you know, the Mac Mini M4 Pro has 3 Thunderbolt 5 ports on the back and 2 USB-C ports on the front.

Pretty much just plug & play. They don't require drivers or anything of that sort.
I'm not aware of any Thunderbolt 5 docks, but I suspect some are coming. Likely to be more expensive than TB4 docks, at least at the beginning.
