I want to link together these two routers to achieve full 802.11n performance while still allowing 802.11g clients to get online. Can I like these routers together?

Yeah. Plug the DLink router into one of the LAN ports on the airport extreme. Then make your G-clients connect to the dlink, and the N-clients connect to the airport.

I do it with an Airport Express and an Extreme-N.

Interesting idea. I can use the full-N speed without having to compromise for G users. Yet, I can plug my Express in directly to give that compatibility. Let me ask you this, have you connected to a hard drive on the Extreme through the Express? And if so, are we looking at major speed decreases?

What sort of settings would one have to put in place to achieve this? And would it be from AEBS LAN port to DLink WAN or LAN? And crossover cable required?
