Hi all

I have a Hitachi G-Raid unit (8Tb) connected to my 2011 imac via thunderbolt. It has another TB connector on the back so that a second TB device can be daisy-chained.

Does anyone know if I can daisy-chain a firewire 800 G-raid unit via an adaptor? Thanks.

I assume you mean can you hook the thunderbolt to firewire dongle off of the G-RAID thunderbolt unit? Yes yes you can. iMac -> GRaid Thunderbolt -> Thunderbolt to Firewire dongle -> GRaid Firewire

Edit: If you have the 2011 iMac, why aren't you using the firewire port to hook your firewire hard drive enclosure to it?
