I received a 27" ASUS monitor for Christmas, and today my STUPID sister threw a hard candy at it. Now there are several dent/smudges in the screen. Is there any way to fix/cover this? BTW, the monitor is non-returnable and no warranty was purchased with it.

Buy a 27" Thunderbolt Display and put directly in front of the Asus - damage now covered.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

I was looking for something a bit more realistic than spending $1,000, like repairing the one I have now.

The cost of a replacement panel plus labour is probably 85% the cost of the monitor.
Option 1 - House insurance
Option 2 - Make your STUPID sister pay
Option 3 - Live with the dent smudges.

Use a damp (not wet) cloth on the smudges, might help a bit. Nothing you can do about the dents.

I have some scrapes from a little RC helicopter on one of my displays :p It happens.
