damaged by stuffit?

Please help...

have 10.2.8 (newest updater), a fresh install yesterday.

everything fine until upgraded stuffit to v.8 - now .sit files claim to have errors they did not have previously, and worse, jpeg compression errors in photoshop!

uninstalled stuffit 8 and put back the v.7 expander from the OSX install disk, but problems still persist.

how can i get back to pre stuffit 8 operation?

There is an updater for Stuffit 8, which you should try. Also, contact the company to let them know you're having problems.

I've been fine with it since 8.0.1 was released.

They did it because Apple said so. According to them, .sit files did not preserve the Unix permissions.
