First off, I hope I am posting in the right area! Apologies if I am not. :)

I am not entirely sure what is wrong with my Macbook...Whenever the battery is connected and the wall charger is NOT connected, the computer will not work. When the battery connected an the wall charger IS connected, the charging light flashes on/off from orange to green, and the computer will shut down at the most RANDOM times.

However, when the battery is REMOVED entirely, and the computer is charging from the wall only, the laptop works perfectly normal. I am not entirely sure what caused this. I tried buying a new battery but the same problem persisted.

I have since purchased a Macbook Pro and I just want to get rid of my "damaged" Macbook. I am following the steps to remove all personal info, but, my question is, is my old Macbook even worth selling? I have no use for it, but I would love to get some extra cash and sell it, but I have no idea what it would sell for. Also, in technical terms, can anyone tell what is wrong with my laptop based on my battery situation? That way I can tell any prospective buyers exactly what's wrong with it.

Thanks in advance!!
