Damn, going to need to buy soon . . .question

well i was going to wait until september to make the switch over to mac but my laptop has let me down! The mouse finally died last night so I think I am going to need a new laptop asap - i am wondering whether the back to school offer in the US will come out in the UK and be the same deal? Because I quite fancy a ipod touch as well!

Also, it seems as though a top spec blackbook will be my machine of choice atm as the MBP is just too expensive, but will this work well with a 20" cinema display when I can afford one in september for design work!

1) The back to school deal is usually held in the UK as well, but a little later than in the US/Canada. August, I think. Give it some time if you can.

2) A MacBook can drive the 20" and 23" ACDs. Just don't plan on using a 30" one with it -- not supported.
