Hi,
I have an Anker 40-watt 5-Port Desktop Usb Charger with PowerIQ Technology on my desk with 3 lighting cables and 2 usb-micro cables for charging iphones, ipads and bluetooth. The cables are 6-12 inches and I am wondering if there is any danger of them shorting out or causing a fire if coming into contact when I remove the devices and leave home. I am concerned about the micro-usb and lighting also touching any metal objects and causing a short circuit.
What can cause lighning or micro-usb to short circuit and cause a dangerous situation? I would like to avoid these.
I usually turn off the power strip when leaving but want to make sure there is no danger of anything happening even when I am at home.
Thanks.
