hmm, dunno. I have podcasts (quite a few, but I don't know if it would be enough to show up on that bar) but no dark blue color.

might have an answer

I think it is basically anything that can be classified as both music and video, such as music videos and video podcasts. Its using the purple from the videos and the blue from the music to make dark blue.

Seemed pretty straightforward.

Hmm... here's a curve ball for you guys. My Apple TV Capacity Bar has audio and video podcasts on it, but the bar has a clean break of blue and purple, no dark blue at all...

I have music videos but no podcasts at all on my phone and I get the dark blue.

I have a few TV Shows and a few movies on my iPhone, no Podcasts or music videos, and I've convinced myself that the dark blue area is space taken up by audio from video.

Lol

UMMMM..no , i dont wanna be rude but i think you're all wrong! the dark blue is if you've added any lyrics and album covers to your music thats why its blu!

I know that it was agreed upon a while ago, but as somebody has revived this dead thread being an ignorant jerk and calling everybody wrong when they are correct, I'll post a few pics to show that it is music videos in your library.

Here is is with both music videos and podcasts:

Here is is without podcasts, but with music videos:

And finally, to show that it is music videos, here is an image without music videos, but with podcasts:

And for obvious reasons, I blocked out my Serial Number.
