Hi all,
I watch alot of quicktimes on my Mac (write music to picture).
In general the movies are very dark compared to view them on
any of the PCs or my mac book for that matter. Specifically,
everything is very Red and Dark. I have tried many adjustments,
looked at different movies etc. I really thought is was the Viewsonic
monitors until today when I replaced them with HP w2207(s)
Same thing. The monitors are brighter and it is slightly improved but
it is not the issue. So, I suspect the video card has an issue.
This is a PPC G5 2.5 with the ATI 9600 XT 128vram
All updates on QT. Today I tried a commercial DVD which ran in DVD player, same thing. Can anyone shed any light on this? I am considering
buying the ATI 9800 PRO 256 from B&H but I don't want to keep throwing money at it if there is some other issue I am missing. The HP monitors are amazing BTW. 22" $250 each from Tigerdirect but I probably would not have bought them at this time if I had not convinced myself the Viewsonics were the issue....KWIM?
Thanks for your help.
