Hi Guys! In california, it's illegal to have anything mounted to the windshield. Therefore, I was wondering if anyone knows of any good, SOLID dash mounts for the iPhone? I want to use the phone as a GPS and have it on my dashboard for easy access. Thanks! :)

Yes. They are awesome.

I would not have recommended them if I hadn't used them.

they look quite awesome! I really appreciate the feedback! Do they move around at all or are they 100% solid? It seems that they wouldn't move around a lot because they sort of clip onto your dash

wow that is really cool! it even has it for my '97 toyota rav4 :) have you or anyone else had a good experience with these mounts?

I've had an awesome experience with these mounts. I have it for my iPod, not my phone, but I completely recommend it. It is a perfect fit and great quality. Definitely worth every penny you will spend.

EDIT: Again, from my experience with my iPod mount, they are completely 100% solid. Don't move around a bit.

Proclip Mounts are a good buy

Proclips are relatively expensive, but they are worth it. This is one of those purchases that lived up to my expectations. They are solid, well made and fit in well with the car or truck interior they are made for. So far, I've purchased them for two separate vehicles and they have met my expectations. Just make sure that you purchase exactly what you want because you cannot return it once it is used.

Definitely. The proclips are worth $$$ but they look really great and almost stock as can be. Very clean and well made!

Only problem is they require you to have a naked phone. Many people use cases which wouldn't work or they would have to remove their case every time.

From what I'm reading...some of the mounts have options for case...

Specifically for the iPhone 4 it lists...without a case, with an original bumper case, or with most cases...

Yup I LOVE Proclips. It depends on the mount you use. There's ones for no case iphone 4, one for bumper, one for regular cases, and others that are adjustable depending on your case.

I'm honestly using my old 1g iphone proclip mount, but looking to purchase an adjustable one in the future.

Confused from their website. Do you need to order two seperate pieces? Clip and the holder? No comprendo

Yes, one piece for mounting to your specific vehicle...the 2nd piece is your choice for clasping the phone. I'm using the "Adjustable Holder with Tilt Swivel and Pass-Through Connector for iPhone4"...very happy with it.

Yep, that's sort of the beauty of the system.

You buy the mount for your specific car.

Then the holster for your specific phone.

All the holsters work with the mounts so if you ever change phones you need only buy a new holster. As long as you haven't gotten a new car you keep the original mount.
