Dashboard Background, can you darken it?

Hey Everyone,

Does anyone know if the background in the Dashboard can be darkened/made more opaque? I find my computer desktop a bit distracting when I'm looking at my widgets. Unfortunately I couldn't find any similar threads with a quick search.

I don't know--but I do know of a couple great utilities for various things regarding Dashboard that might come in handy.

You might consider downloading Widgets Preference Pane (a Dashboard System Preference Pane manager) that allows you to put a different wallpaper on the Dashboard dock. It also allows you to put Widgets on the desktop and it gives you some security enhancement options.

Also another good (yet simple) download that lets you temporarily disable Widgets is Widget Manager.
