To the well informed.. you probably know about post-Lion apple's keyboards having the launchpad f4 key instead of dashboard..

by default if you had a pre-Lion machine and installed Lion, Lion keeps the dashboard key to show the dashboard.. (which is nice.. continuity) but some people want to change that key into the launchpad key instead of the dashboard key.. just like the new macbooks!

I've looked into this and found a pretty sweet solution which doesn't require "flipping functions" where the launch pad is assigned the fn-f4 and there is software to flip f4 key to fn-f4 when you press it without the fn..

thought I might share keyremap4macbook.. its sketchy looking sure.. but it works.. download, install and restart.. search for launchpad in the program and check the box... restart again.. BAM ur done!

now, the f4 actually launches launchpad and fn-f4 still works for whatever you want.. just like the new macbooks!! enjoy!

*note.. there is a "bug" where when you restart.. it takes 1-2 mins to kick-in but after that.. it works as expected..
