What would be a good ratio for real RAM for dashboard and total RAM? I have 512 MB RAM in my iBook and dashboard is using about 80 MB of real RAM, not virtual. Is this using too much RAM, should I get rid of some widgets? I have 7.

i dont like dashboard
so i just disabled it.
saves my cpu and ram, ohhh yea

I'd say that is fine; but it really depends on what you do with your iBook. Do you need that extra 80 MB of RAM? When you go into Activity monitor, just make sure you aren't at Zero, and you should be fine.

more important do u need a dashboard anyway, i found it useless and disabled it, its a great idea but inpracticle
