Hi all,

I've just bought a new macbook air, and for some reason the dashboard weather widget will not recognize the town I live in (or any of the near-by towns). It keeps changing the location to another town 100 kms away even as I'm typing in the info. I've even tried the postal code route, but no luck.

On my other mac (the one I just sold) the exact same widget displayed the weather for my location.

Is this a glitch with os x 10.6?

Thanks in advance for your help (and sorry if this is not the right forum, I wasn't sure where to post this)

I know I'll get in some sort of trouble for this but I don't use dashboard. I wish Apple would replace it with the ability to run iOS apps. Anyway, I picked up a free app called swackett on the OS X app store and I like it. It's a no nonsense weather app. It crashed once when I left it running for days but it is fine if I run it when I want to check the weather and then close it.
