dashboard webclips.. do they ever work?

I am wondering if the webclips ever re-load? I am watching a ebay auction and the only time it ever re-loads is when i click on a link within the webclip.

any idea how to fix these problems? Its a cool lesser known feature of leopard that i never could take advantage of

Mine always seem to reload whenever I reactivate Dashboard. So exit and enter it again. Another option is to hold your mouse cursor over the widget and hit Command-R to reload.
