My macbook Pro 15" late 2008 with Snow Leopard 10.6.1 is running hotter than before.

On checking with Activity Monitor I find that I have two processes of DashboardClient running as follows:

16101 DashboardClient xxxxx 1.8 5 24.1 MB Intel 48.9 MB

and

17674 DashboardClient xxxxx 0.1 5 76.1 MB Intel (64 bit) 223.5 MB

Why are there two processes of the same name running, and can I remove one of them, and if so, which one and how?

Can this be the cause of the higher temperature?
