Hoping someone can help me.

I finally upgraded to 4.2.1 yesterday from 3.1.2. I did a full backup first. Followed the steps to upgrade. Phone was restored to factory settings. Right clicked on my phone in iTunes and selected restore from backup. Found the exact date and time of the backup I manually did before I updated firmware. Went through a quick restore process, but nothing happened...all my apps were still gone and the phone was still like new.

So I thought, ok, maybe I have to sync now. So I did that and it worked great. All my apps, photos, MMS, etc. are now back on my phone.

The only thing that didn't make it back to my phone was my app settings and the data that I had saved into my apps.

Is there some way to retrieve this data? Should I Restore from Backup AGAIN (that is, IF I the manual backup I did before upgrading hasn't been overwritten)?

If anyone could help me out with this I would greatly appreciate it!j
