Data Disappearing from External Hard Drive

Hi, I have a 3TB Seagate Free Agent GoFlex Desk External Hard Drive formatted in NTFS (my MacBook Pro has NTFS for Mac installed on it), and sometimes data randomly disappears. I originally had a LaCie 2TB External Hard Drive, but that broke, and then I got a Data Recovery done on it. But some of the data after being moved to the new external hard drive (the one listed at the beginning), I had to delete some of the data because it was showing up as 0kb and whatnot, and now sometimes data just disappears without the remaining hard drive space changing, and also I delete can't be emptied from the recycle bin, getting error messages.
