Hey all! Have a quick question.. when i take in my MBP to an apple genius for repair, should i undo the data doubler (replaced the optical with ssd) and put in the optical drive back in? I vaguely remember applecare being bleh about "modifications" but wanted to see how they were nowadays..

The thing is already out of warranty though..

What are you having repaired?
Usually I'd say swap it back to stock but if you are paying out of pocket I'm not sure what difference it would make. Worst they could do is decline to service it?

The logic board because of the GPU kernel panics.. It seems to be fine! Apparently they dont care as long as the issue is unrelated to the data doubler.

Luckily, they're covering it so not paying anything.
