Hi!

I work at a mid-sized company with hundreds of items in stock. There have been some issues with incorrect/missing labels. We used to check this by printing out a spreadsheet of all items in stock, ticking OK/missing/whatever next to each item and then rewrite it to the computer. You can imagine this is not a painless experience.

What I had in my was a simple app that would allow me to download a spreadsheet with names of items and I would be allowed to filter through these (since they're sometimes stored randomly) and input various information (probably two or three checkboxes and one or two text fields).

I tried FormEntry, but it only allows you to enter one set of informations at once and it doesn't allow any file imports. I haven't tried Bento yet, but it might do the job. My last resort is Numbers for iPad, which looks awesome, but lacks the important filtering (at least I have yet to find it).

---

Since this is not a daily job, I don't need any advanced server managing or a $5000 software package with a gillion of functions. All I'm asking for is a simple data input tool with import and export.

I have both iPhones and iPads available and do not prefer any for the job (well, maybe the iPad for typing).

---

Thanks a lot for any information on this. I Googled a bit, but apparently didn't use the right keywords.
