I lost a couple of documents on a FAT32-formatted external lacie-drive because I was using special characters in very long file names without knowing they are not supported by the FAT32-format. Anyone got any good advice on how to recover them? Instead of the actual files I know have a couple of objects with the same names, only they seem to be some kind of a link that cannot be operated, meaning clicking on them won´t take me anywhere. I was given the advice to try to drag and drop them onto the internal disk (I am using a macbook pro with Tiger and I also got Leopard) which is supposed to be HFS-formatted and then try to rename them but this will not work either since I am not able to do ANYTHING with these corrupted files - I can´t move them adn couldn´t even delete them, instead I had to kick all the other documents out of the folder and then delete the folder it was in and now the bin contains some of these folders that cannot be deleted either - not even with pressing ALT while deleting.
