Data not working

I have a 3GS unlocked to t-mobile and have unlimited data but when I'm not on wifi my apps that require an Internet connection don't work and when I try to open a page in safari it says your current plan is not compatible with this device. Please click here to view plan options. I have epc.tmobile.com under the network apn settings. Does anyone else have this problem or know what to do?

Different T-Mobile plans seem to require different APN settings. I assume you have a data plan? Try the following settings instead wap.voicestream.com for the APN with no username and no password.

Do I need to change the mms settings to wap.voicestream.com as well? And yes I have an unlimited data plan.

Very basic question but have you turned off 3G. T-Mobile supports a different 3G frequency so it does not work with Iphone. You have to use edge so best to turn off 3G.
