Data Rates In Airport Utility

I have two Airport Extremes, one (extender) is wirelessly extending the other (main). I've been using both the iOS and desktop version of the Airport Utility to track the data rate of the connection between the extender to the main. The desktop version is reporting that the connection is 240mbps and the iOS version is reporting 270mbps. I don't understand why it's giving me two different numbers?
