Data-Recovery from damaged Mac HDD to Windows Workstation

Hi there,

I have a problem here. Not too long ago a Mac-HDD stopped working correctly, so I changed it.
Now, I want to get the Data from the HDD. Can I somehow access the HDD via an external kit? I tried it but my Windows Workstation wouldn't even recognize it.

I have win7, there was mac os x Leopard on the Mac-HDD

Windows cannot by default read Mac-formatted drives (even assuming the drive is readable anyhow).

MacDrive will allow you to read/write HFS+ formatted drives from Windows. It works well. http://www.mediafour.com/products/macdrive

Alternatively there's a read-only option: hfsexplorer. http://www.catacombae.org/hfsx.html
