data recovery problem with intel macbook

hi,

my intel macbook hd got ****ed. when i booted i didn't get into my os. in disk utility the disk was still recognized. i tried to recover it but when it took to long, i decided to reboot (stupid me) in the disk recovery proces.

now the harddisk isn't recognized by disk utility. i needed my macbook the same day so i bought a new harddisk.

how can i get my data back from my old harddisk? i got a external USB case but my finder or disk utility recognize the harddisk at all.

which software can i use or what method can i try?
