I've been looking at various data recovery software out there and have seen a large difference in prices and I was curious which people think is the best.

I downloaded Boomerang Data Recovery ($179.95) and it seems pretty good, I can see the files, but it's a lot more than Data Rescue, which doesn't seem to be recognizing some of the files I need back.

I did a little more research and Boomerang is a "Staff Pick" at Apple's website, and so is Data Rescue.

Disk Warrior won't recover deleted files, so that's not an option.

Thanks.

I ended up buying Boomerang and it works really good.. So I guess it was worth it. I got 35 deleted photos back that I accidentally deleted.

Note that if anyone has deleted files... STOP using the drive and the computer immediately. Don't even download demo software, download it to an external drive or even better, boot from an external fireware drive and then recover, otherwise files can easily be overwritten.
