I recently installed Data Rescue 4, I had been using Data Rescue 3. The new version claims to have the ability to create a boot USB flash drive, "BootWell". I bought the separate BootWell flash drive from Prosofteng. The BootWell drive did not work as advertised, nor could it be successfully recreated on my iMac running OSX 10.9.5. The Prosoft support was not able to resolve the problem. I recommend that you wait a while to get Data Rescue 4 and certainly not but the extra BootWell drive.
