Hi guys, I currently have a mac mini G4 (1.42) 10.4.10 with 1Gb of Ram. I have just bought a new macbook and when it arrives (tomorrow with luck) I need to transfer all my "stuff" across. I want to do this by LAN cable but am unsure how to connect the 2 macs together.
Any advice greatly appreciated,
Phil:confused:

It seems the easiest way is to use the Setup Assistant / Migration assistant, but that requires a Firewire cable. They're pretty cheap and you'll get a throughput of ~400Mbps rather than the ~100Mbps using a LAN Cable.

Instructions can be found here and here

I recall one account saying that the entire process took about 20 minutes.

If you still want to do it via LAN, take a look here.
