I am considering the purchase of a WD Scorpio Blue 5400 at either 640GB or 1TB for my 15" MBP. I currently have a Time Capsule doing backups.

I run a Windows XP (soon to be 7) bootcamp partition.

I see that Carbon Copy seems to be the clone application of choice, however they cannot copy the Bootcamp partition. Is there a total cloning option that exists?

Just so I have the process right, if I put my new drive in an enclosure, and use whatever clone app to transfer my current drive over, then I can simply take out the old, insert the new, and everything will be good? It will all be instantly recognized?

Thanks for the help.

I use SuperDuper. There was some reason why I chose it over Carbon Copy, but I can't remember what it was now. Anyway, works like a charm for me and I'm very happy with it.

Don't think so. I use Winclone to clone my Windows partition.

That's how it's always worked for me.
