Data usage seems a bit high

Not really sure how data is recorded, but i guess you can say i take full advantage of the internet on my 3gs. I always use the 3g and surf the internet throughout the day. I do admit i use it quite a bit, but thats about it. Dont stream music, videos or anything like that. Does surfing the internet really use alot of data?

Jan-4.2 gb used

Feb-1.7 gb

march-2.2 gb

april-3 gb

may-1.3 gb

June-1.5 gb so far

Wow! I'm not sure what I used in the past.. but it should be the same every month.. my bill runs to the 22nd of each month, as of today I've used 283mb and 3600 messages.

Based on the assumption that it's the same person doing the same standard usage every month yeah.. But at home my iphone is on wifi; that may count for something.. even though I don't really do anything with it at home.

How are you checking your usage? Dial *DATA# from your phone and see what it says
