Interested in developing an app, because I just have an idea I don't want to immediately dish out he $99 for the SDK unless it is absolutely necessary.

But what I am looking for is in depth capabilities (hardware/ software) of the new iphone, (particularly the iPhone 6S and 6S+)

Apples web page does list the hardware specifications of the of the device and speeds Etc

But what I am looking for is a database of ALL of the hardware components in the iPhone and what exactly each part does and if it lists an example or includes a description of what that hardware component does (software wise) on each device.

I am hoping such a database/resource exists, there are billions of dollars allocated to iOS developing so I imagine it's there.

And if this is included only in the SDK I will start there but obviously don't want to spend the $ until it is time.

Any help is appreciated
