Hi Guys,

I have iOS 6 beta 2 on my Wifi-only new iPad. Accidentally, I changed the date on my iPad and now my beta is showing expired.

As the firmware is getting detected as expired, so I'm not able to take back-up or activate it. Please suggest an approach to reset back to correct time and date.

I know this is a silly query, but your help would be highly appreciated.

Try plugging it into your computer and rebooting it -- your computer may be able to send the correct time and date to the iPad.

It happened to me, as well. Had to restore from backup.

I have a backup, but not the ipsw of beta 2. You mean to say, I do a fresh install and recover from my backup?

Or just recover from backup is fine?

Yeah, sorry. I did a restore with the beta 2 ipsw file, and restored from backup. You can even use the ipsw from beta 1, then do an OTA update to beta 2.

they don't accept beta1 anymore do they?
i thought it had expired already,

I think it was a couple days ago that I did it. So, don't know if it's expired at the moment.

It's obviously better if you use beta 2 :p
