Sorry for the noob question, but...

I noticed in Finder the date modified on wmv files I download are not the date they "hit" my machine. I'd like so sort them in the order I actually downloaded them, but can't seem to do that. Any thoughts/ideas?

Thx!

View pull-dowm menu -> Show View Options -> Date Created -> Click Date Created in the Finder window to sort by Date Created.

Thanks for the willingness to help. For some strange reason that column just contains 4 dashes "---". It's only the wmv files that have the 4 dashes for date created...very odd.

Correction everything on my WD external HD has 4 dashes in the date created column...

That may be why.

Unfortunately, I don't have a FAT32 formatted drive to test with. All my HFS+ drives have creation dates for downloaded items.

OK...really appreciate the input. Think I will move the content temporarily to my internal HD, reformat and put it back. Even without this issue FAT32 is not the way to go.
