Date on Calendar icon always 1 day behind

Anyone else run into this problem? It's caused me a bit of trouble as I keep thinking I have an additional day to finish a task.

It fixes itself if I close and open the Calendar application but when the next day rolls over, it's behind one day again.

Calendar is in Eastern Time zone, I'm in Atlantic Standard time zone at the moment
