At some point a while back I had 10 files show up in my root directory named Datei0, Datei1 ... Datei9.

They are all 4kb Unix executable files. Removing them does nothing, as they reappear after a while. Does anyone know where these came from? What they are doing? Which app created them? If I should worry about them? How I can get rid of them?
 
They are text files. I don't know if I'm divulging any info here, but here's the text from one of the files:

Perhaps, your application is natively German, though, and, as good Mac OS X applications are, localised for each environment.

Definitely looks like, ummm, information stored in a file. :D
