Daughter present: which Iphone?

Hello,

My daughter wants an Iphone for the end of school year.
I would go for the Iphone SE 32Go or 16Go.
However, a colleague is selling his Iphone 5C 32Gb for 100€, the screen is broken and there is a black dot on the camera when it takes picture. I will go this week to local Apple Shop, hoping they can fix the screen or offer a swap for a refurbished model. Do you think it is a good option? I learned that 5C will not be supported under Ios 11...

Since the 5c won't be updated I'd go with the SE. And to future proof the purchase, the 32GB version.

Thanks. I decided that will not take the Iphone 5C. Another option would be to give her my Iphone 6 64Go and buy myself an Iphone 6S or 7. I find it difficult to go back to SE after having been on a Iphone 6...

I hear ya. I have a 6S+. I still have my 5c and 4S and it's absolutely weird to hold them.

Along those same lines, I see friends with giant iPhones and feel a bit mesmerized. Then I realize I have the same size phone.

The SE is faster/newer than the iPhone 6 (it has many 6S internals).

Would she rather have a smaller, (slightly) faster phone with less storage or a larger, (slightly) slower phone with more storage?

Indeed. My next planned purchase is an Ipad. I transferred some photos to Google Photos and it really freed up space on my Iphone. So my Iphone 6 can still go for a couple of months, possibly until the end of the year. Besides, it still has the headphone jack...

Good timing. Apple just updated its iPad line from various tiers and price points. That said, 32 GB is still a decent amount of storage. Applications and video's/photo's are some of the most consuming of the storage. And yes, the SE retaining the 3.5 Jack is a nice advantage.

I'd say SE; not as expensive and still has most of what any iOS device has
