All video has frame rates - number of frames per second... what DaVinci is telling you that your project has a set frame rate, and that frame rate is different from the clip you are trying to import... the message is asking you to change the frame rate of the project to match that of the clip.

Sure. Davinci Resolve has a default project frame rate of 24fps (in the file->"project settings" window) and you are trying to import a video clip with a different frame rate, e.g. 30fps or whatever you recorded.

This warning happens when the frame rate of the first clip you import is different. You can just select "Change" and the project frame rate will be changed to match your clip. It won't change anything in your .mp4 file.

However, you can't change the project frame rate once it's been set, so you need to consider how you will manage your media if you have multiple clips with different frame rates. E.g 24fps from one camera, 30fps from another or 60fps from a third (or the NTSC variations of 29.97fps and 59.94fps). You can get round this to some degree with multiple timelines in Resolve and re-timing clips - there are plenty of YouTube videos on this.

Hope this helps.
