Here is the information.

We’re excited to share the big news that Day One is being acquired by Automattic Inc. Automattic is the parent company of WordPress.com, Tumblr, and a host of other great software services.
Not always the case in a software acquisition, the Day One team will be kept intact, operating with the same autonomy we currently enjoy to continue improving the Day One app experience across all our platforms. Our top priority has always been to safeguard your memories and ensure Day One is around for the long haul, and this new venture gives us confidence that Day One will have the permanence we’ve always hoped to achieve. We know you may have questions, so click the link to read the full blog post by Paul Mayne, founder and CEO of Day One.
Automattic shares Day One's respect for our customers, and as part of their commitment to transparency they've asked us to share with you that, as part of this acquisition, we’ve made some changes to the Day One Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, such as updating how you can reach us, how disputes will be handled (governing law and venue will change from Utah to California), and how we’ll let you know about updates in the future. These changes will take effect on July 14, 2021, but you can see the new Terms of Service and Privacy Policy now. By using Day One after that date, you’ll be agreeing to the revised terms and understand the revised privacy policy will apply.
