Yes, done so for me since S0, but that is so long ago that I do not remember whether I had to set it up or not, I think it follows the settings on your iPhone

we have daylight time. The watch will follow the phone time, they sync. I liked it that when we were out east , and the watch and phone changed time zones on their own.

Yep – you shouldn't ever have to think about setting it.
