With the change in the date when we move the clocks ahead one hour, this Saturday night / Sunday morning, a month earlier. Will my new 24" imac know this or will I have to do something to make it right.

Sorry I'm a mac noob!
thanks
Mike

It is not a month early; it is three weeks early. If you are running a fully updated MacOS X 10.4, then you should be fine. There is also a hack on the 'Web to update MacOS X 10.3.9 to handle the new Daylight Savings Time.
