Don't forget to set your clocks back an hour before you go to bed tonight and enjoy the extra hour of sleep. Ugh, now it will get dark about 5pm. :(

Also a good idea to change those batteries in your smoke detectors.

In the US, that is. It's already happened in the UK and now it gets dark at 4pm or so.

It causes a problem when posting on MR. I had to post this an hour earlier to make sure it got here on time.

Thank God. I honestly hate the sun and hate driving home with the sun glare. I know I am in the minority here, but that's just me. Give me darkness!

We've already gone to the future here in the UK, or is it the past? Anyroad. I like the dark winter evenings. And with the current temperatures its now time to whip out the Tom Baker scarf :D

Hah yeah. Walking home from clubbing at 6am is not something I plan on doing again until June.

I much prefer light, heat and warmth to the cold and dark. The first working day after the clocks go back, is, for me, in northern Europe, one of my very least favourite days of the entire year. It is a day when my heart, almost literally, sinks deep into my proverbial boots. Not only does it begin to get dark between four and five o'clock in the evening, but you know that there are eight long weeks to the winter solstice, and then a further eight weeks before the time of sunset/sunrise is even back to where it is on this profoundly depressing day.

Cheers

It's getting to that depressing time of year where it's dark when you arrive at work and dark when you leave :(

Yes, not seeing where you live in daylight from late Sunday afternoon until the following Saturday morning is indeed depressing.

I would love to know who's brilliant idea it was to put Indiana on Daylight Savings. For work, we loose a hour of sunlight in the morning and puts us in conflict with school schedules. It might be a bit easier to take if we were on Central Time

When I worked in an office it absolutely sucked to get to work before sunrise and leave work after dark. I honestly started to think that the sun didn't come up for about three weeks!

^^

OMG, I'm laughing so hard I have tears streaming down my face.
