i live on two forums, this one, and dbarthemes.

they shut down (they warned us), felt the site had done it's thing, was time to move on. but, sad, really. some of the best themeing could be found there.
glad i grabbed a few things before they split!

anyway, just mentioning.
so macrumors must ALWAYS survive
(or i'd be forced to talk to my friends...after i make some :D )
 
Bloody hell - that's a shame. We'll have to keep an ear out for when they pop up next. MacThemes is alright, but slightly suffocating IMO.
 
Bloody hell is right! I'm a supporter of the arts and all these designers, IMO, are truly artists. But when they just catch a whim and decide to go in a different direction, that gets kinda old. Especially if they just open up another site at some point that does the exact same thing. What's the point of closing it down if you're just going to do it again sometime?

Not to mention the PIA hoops you had to jump through to become a member over there. And all that work...all those great themes that people had worked so hard on...now it's just gone? That just seems kinda crappy to the artists.

Ah well...MacThemes and MacRumors...you don't disappoint me. :D
 
Yeah it used to be dbar, MR, and macthemes, looks like dbar is gone now, glad I still have some of the themes and LS from there.
