Hello MR.
I’m getting a Space Grey iPhone X next week and I am looking for a way to protect the PVD coated band.
I’ve chosen SG because it was supposedly more durable than the silver one. However, it seems the coating might flake even with a case and would look worse than regular stainless steel when scratched...

Therefore, I am considering applying a dbrand skin to protect it...
Has anyone here applied this kind of skin on its iPhone X ? Satisfied or not ?
And a more specific question : would the PVD coating flake when you remove the skin ? I am asking this because I read that the skin is really sticky.

Someone else asked the same question as you did about a week ago. I would not recommend applying a DBrand skin. Reason being is you don't know the potential outcome of what they could do long term to the PVD coating. I would recommend a case that has a microfiber lining that surrounds the space gray stainless band.

I bought the iPhone X a few days ago, and I was trying to decide which color to choose, at the end I bought the white iPhone x and my decision was based on the fact that the metal can be polished and that's something you can't do with the SG iPhone X. My decision was based on that.

I have use skins with my other iPhones and after 3 or 4 days I always ended up removing the skin because I don't like the feeling of the edges of the skin in the hand. Because I'm super careful with my devices and I don't like to alter the form factor of those beautiful devices I don't use cases. At this moment I'm testing a super thin jet white case made by totalle and the phone looks and feels really nice but it does not provide protection if it falls.
