Hi,

I'm a former windows user and now using an MBP. I'm still a newbie in MacOSX so I hope you guys can help me with this:

I want to connect to a network in my student dorm. My roommate told me to download dc++ and connect to a certain IP address. She gave me a download link for dc++ but the link was -of course- for a windows version of the program.
Which program can I use on my mac for that purpose? Is there a mac version of dc++? I already used google and found some downloads links but I wasn't sure if they were legit or some sort of scam/spyware/...

Thanks for your advice :)

ShakesPeer is the only reliable one I've used. That said, it's not nearly as feature-rich as it's PC counterparts, but gets the job done, especially if you're connecting to another overlay.
